Thunder Chase Sweep as SGA Stays Relentless
OKC leads Phoenix 3-0, SGA drops 42 in Game 3, sweep on the line in Game 4

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 42 points in Game 3 and the Oklahoma City Thunder now lead the Phoenix Suns 3-0, one win away from a first-round sweep. OKC heads into Game 4 having outscored Phoenix by an average of 20 points across three games, winning by margins of 35, 13 and 12.
The sweep would push OKC's first-round playoff record to 11-0 over two consecutive postseasons, an extraordinary run for a young core that has barely blinked under pressure. SGA led the entire NBA during the regular season with 175 clutch-time points, and his Game 3 performance — 42 points on a brilliant shooting night — was another reminder of why the Thunder are the defending champions.
Jalen Williams missed Game 3 with injury, but Ajay Mitchell stepped into the rotation and delivered 15 points off the bench. Alex Caruso has also been a factor on both ends, giving OKC the kind of two-way depth that makes this roster difficult to attack at any level of the depth chart.
Phoenix have been outscored 360-300 across the series and have no margin left. The Suns need four straight wins to advance, a sequence the market has virtually no confidence in. A Thunder close-out in Game 4 would position OKC to rest up and scout the next round while the rest of the West continues to grind.
